Knights of Elsyr
A prosperous city alongst the Elsyr River.
Brindol was once a center of trade, but as the border draws rapidly closer, it is forced to draw more on it’s natural resources to survive, mostly lumber and mining. These resources are gathered and processed through a series of client villages.
The city is ruled by a council of 13, most are either guild heads or hereditary nobility, Brindol’s own monarch having perished centuries ago with no one eager to place power back into a single set of hands. One seat is reserved for the head of the most influential religious movement of the day, and couple are filled by foreign diplomats.
The walled city is protected by a professional and well organized watch, which is usually under the command of the Captain of the Guard, however, the previous Captain’s untimely demise has yet to be compensated for. In his absence, The Vermilion Blades have been hired to patrol the outlying regions, and collect taxes from the client villages.
